This short documentary film tells the remarkable story of Nina Baratoff, a Russian ballerina born a refugee in 1940s China. As a child, she danced to a piano piece her father composed just for her. Thought lost, its tattered pages were rediscovered decades later, sparking a journey of remembrance, as a team of musicians, choreographers, and dancers bring the piece back to life.

Vin Eiamvuthikorn and David Feldman, co-producers of Her Father’s Music, wanted to tell Nina Baratoff’s story because they were personally inspired by her message of hope, love, the potential of the human spirit, and the power of dance. We hope this message will inspire you, too.
